ATTENTION: TWO out of a THREE DVD SERIES ARE COMPLETE!!!
Many of you have been asking when my DVD’s will be complete. Well, two sets of the three in a series are now complete and ready for purchase. I appreciate the patience of everyone as these came to fruition.
Let me tell you a little about the series. The title of this series is called: “Barry Costa’s Master Secrets of Carpet Repair”.
The titles of each of the three in a series are:
1. “Basic Carpet Construction Identification Made Easy!”
2. “Professional Sectioning and Grafting Made Easy – Basic Series”
3. “Professional Sectioning and Grafting Made Easy – Intermediate Series”
Let me introduce you to each of the three series.
The Basic Carpet Construction Identification Made Easy DVD is completed and ready for sale
as is:
Professional Sectioning and Grafting Made Easy – Basic Series
The
Professional Sectioning and Grafting Made Easy –Intermediate Series is not completed and not ready for sale at this time.
“Basic Carpet Construction Identification Made Easy!”
There is one DVD in this package with a 12 page fully colored and illustrated manual.
The intended audience for this package include:
Carpet Retailers and Sales force; Carpet Inspectors; Schools related to Carpet (Installation, cleaning, restoration); Insurance Adjusters; those that install and repair carpet.
Sneak Peak:
The DVD and fully illustrated manual guides you step by step in the identification process of all Six Carpet Constructions: Woven (Axminster, Wilton, Velvet); Knitted; Needlepunch; Fusion Bonded; Electrostatically Flocked; and the “King of the Industry” – Tufted. Following the five step process, you too can identify the major construction of the carpet. Knowing the construction can be valuable as a cleaner, restorer, installer, repair technician and those that need to initially do a quick assessment of a carpet for setting a “reserve” on an insurance claim. The sample can then be sent to a third party evaluator for further identification of value, but this allows you to get an initial estimate of ballpark pricing.
This DVD and manual is ready for purchase.

The design of the package allows the technician to:
1. Identify the Carpet Construction (Needlepunch – Tufted – Braided)
2. Identify the Style (Cut Pile – Low Level Loop – Level Berber with a Parallelogram shape – Multi-Level Berber with a Pattern – Berber with a Pattern in Tufting and Color
3. Identify how the Carpet was Installed (Stretch-in or Direct Gluedown)
4. What type repair is needed (Surface Grafting – Permanent Section – Sewing – Pulled Row)
5. If Permanent Section then: Which tools will you be using?
a) Hot melt glue gun and latex as your seam sealer or
b) Kool Glide seaming tool and thermal glue as your seam sealer.
Take the above five items – go to pages 10 & 11 and the chart will tell you which DVD to use and which pages in the manual to refer to:
